So you are ready to take the plunge into painting miniatures and haven't a clue where to start. Lets do an inventory check on what we need to paint our first miniature.

1. Well obviously a miniature. I prefer 28mm scale but any miniature will do. I would recommend a basic miniature for people just starting. I know there is temptation to buy the coolest figure you see but painting it may become a daunting task. Figures can be made from white metal or plastic. For the purposes of this tutorial I'll choose a Games Workshop® Blood Bowl skink. An excellent beginner miniature.
